The ADA is one of the most complicated workplace laws to understand. This interactive course will give participants the history and background of the law to help make informed decisions about keeping their workplace compliant. The number of ADA related EEOC claims are consistently near the top. This course provides the knowledge and resources to mitigate risk and create efficient and effective ADA processes and policies.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the course you will be able to:Who is protected under the law? How to recognize and respond to workplace accommodation needs.  Define the steps and participants involved in the interactive process. Understand leave of absence as a reasonable accommodation, including the interaction between ADA, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, disability income replacement (e.g. short-term disability) and various state laws.  Analyze accommodations for “reasonableness.”
